International Women’s Day

March 10, 2020

On Monday, 9th March, tens of women from Europe found a place where they could share their strength and experience. Business women, who know what they want from life and how to reach for it, were telling their stories, heartening those that came for inspiration.

Gender pay gap

On the International Women’s Day women:

  • Got practical investment tips for their business, shared by Magdalena Mielczarek (Lawmore)
  • Learned more about mini-MBA course, thanks to Christian Dekoninck (MCE).
  • Heard an amazing story of supporting community in Uganda by Lucy & Martin Hubenak (Sunday Beans).
  • Discussed about the gender pay gaps. In the discussion took part: Claire Godding, Dorota Płoskowicz & Agnieszka Siwińska (Peterka&Partners), Aleksandra Kwaśnica & Urszula Freeman (CGI Polska), Małgorzata Sarzalska (Ministerstwo Rodziny, Pracy i Polityki Społecznej)
  • Met tens of women – maybe one of them would be a ticket to someones dreams?
  • Got the chance to win a prize, e.g. a flight over Warsaw with a bottle of champagne or voucher for mini-MBA course in a chosen European country.

Strength is a women

  • Don’t be a perfectionist. Allow yourself to make mistakes.
  • Find a woman who will be a role model for you.
  • Don’t be afraid to ask for a raise.

Above tips were aimed to women participating in the International Women’s Day. We are proud to be a sponsor of it. Tips given by women who pursue their passions, fight for dreams and manage people. Inspiration filled the walls of the Embassy of Canada in Warsaw yesterday.
